Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Krohg was hired by Douglas Brown, the founder of AquaVenture Holdings, nearly thirty years ago. They worked together for almost a decade at Advent International, a leading global private equity firm. Mr. Krohg then spent ten years as the CEO of two Boston-area technology companies. One of the companies lead by Mr. Krohg was a Massachusetts Institute of Technology spin-out which was sold to Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR). He spent three years as President of that business under Danaher Corporation ownership. All in all, Mr. Krohg has over 20 years’ experience in M&A, venture capital and private equity investing. He was a Partner at Advent International, where Mr. Brown became the CEO. Mr. Krohg was also a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. Douglas Brown hired Mr. Krohg to join Seven Seas Water in 2016. Mr. Krohg holds a B.S. from Boston University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
A co-founder of Seven Seas Water, USVI, Fred Hung directed all aspects of its operations while serving as President. He also was Vice President at Allison-Williams Company, where he was involved with equity and debt transactions. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mr. Hung has a B.B.A. (Finance) from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
President, AUC Group
Todd Mueller is President of AUC Group and oversees all facets of the business including operations, finance, engineering, business development, marketing and the performance and management of all its wastewater projects. He leads a team of professionals committed to operational excellence and is a recognized expert in the wastewater industry. Mr. Mueller has over 25 years’ experience and began with TEC Industries as a Project Manager in 1991 overseeing personnel and projects. When the organization was acquired, he was named Vice President of Wastewater Construction with AquaSource Utility Construction L.P. In this position, he was responsible for the performance and management of the Construction Departments involved in Wastewater Projects, including wastewater treatment plants, underground utilities, lift stations and design work. Mr. Mueller began his career in Commercial Real Estate, performing construction management for PM Realty Group.
Chief Financial Officer
Chad Schafer has served as CFO of Seven Seas Water since April 2020. Mr. Schafer joined the Company in 2014 to serve as a key leader in the initial public offering of AquaVenture Holdings, Seven Seas Water’s former parent company, in 2016 and has held multiple roles including V.P. of Corporate Accounting and Reporting and Director of Reporting. Mr. Schafer has also led or was involved with investor relations, corporate debt financings, share offerings, merger & acquisition activities, and public company compliance requirements. Prior to Seven Seas Water, Mr. Schafer held finance and accounting roles with Kforce Inc. (NASDAQ: KFRC) and Grant Thornton LLP. Mr. Schafer holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and is a certified public accountant.
Senior Vice President, Global Engineering
Brian Hernon was Vice President of Water Supply & Services and Vice President of Engineering at Ionics, Inc. where he was responsible for engineering and operations of build-own-operate facilities. With more than 25 years in the water industry, Mr. Hernon has extensive experience in designing, constructing and operating membrane-based plants. He earned M.S. and a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Rhode Island and the University of Massachusetts, respectively.
Senior Vice President, Global Operations
Tom O’Brien has more than 35 years of experience in installing, operating, and managing water treatment facilities. His prior experience includes managing the Mid-Atlantic water and wastewater operations for Veolia Water North America, and a long and successful career at Ionics, Inc. where he managed an operation team of over 200 professionals at over 100 locations in the Americas.
Managing Director, Caribbean
Prior to becoming COO of Ionics, Inc. in 2003, John Curtis spent more than 30 years at Ernst & Young LLP, where he was a Senior International Partner. He has also served as an advisor and operating partner for Advent International, the global private equity firm. Since the founding of Seven Seas Water in 2007, Mr. Curtis has held a number of positions including CFO, President and CEO. Mr. Curtis’ focus is now on the Company’s Caribbean business. John Curtis attended Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program, is a graduate of Boston College, and holds a master’s degree from New York University Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Noone has over 25 years of legal expertise including mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, contract law, compliance, and human resources issues in both private and corporate practice. He has held leadership roles in regulatory affairs, community/governmental relations, customer care, infrastructure and commercial development. Mr. Noone was previously the General Counsel for SourceGas, LLC and served as V.P. of Commercial Development for the company. Prior to this, Mr. Noone was a lawyer in private practice and handled complex commercial and regulatory matters for numerous clients, with a focus in the energy industry. He is a graduate of Villanova University and Temple University Law School.
