The Role:

AUC Group is searching for a talented and experienced Front Office Assistant, responsible for welcoming visitors, answering calls, and supporting all departments through various functions. This site does require a candidate to be working on-site at the AUC Houston Office.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. He/she will have previous experience working in an office environment, performing administrative tasks and providing support to coworkers. The ability to multitask, manage complex schedules, and meet changing deadlines is essential to the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Job Duties:

· Reporting to management and performing administrative duties.

· Answering telephone calls, as well as screening and forwarding calls.

· Scheduling and confirming appointments, meetings, lunches, and events.

· Welcoming and assisting visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

· Handling basic inquiries, deliveries, and sorting mail.

· Copying, scanning, and filing documents.

· Monitoring office supplies and ordering replacements.

· Keeping the reception area tidy and observing professional etiquette.

· Picking up print jobs from local shop.

· Monitoring company inboxes for proper distribution.

· Providing ad-hoc support to Project Management, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering teams as needed.


  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional ability to create a welcoming environment.
  • Experience in answering and screening calls, as well as scheduling appointments.
  • Ability to observe business etiquette and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Experience working with word processing, spreadsheets, and emails, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
  • Working knowledge of printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.

This position is onsite, Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm.
