The Role

The SVP – Global Operations position requires oversight, management, and coordination of all the international assets, plant operations and all department personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Takeover, develop, update & maintain an appropriate operations plan that facilitates the execution of all customer contracts and company business objectives.
  • Oversee operation of the plants and any collateral businesses and make changes as necessary to improve revenue, profitability, online time and maintain product water quality as required.
  • Interact with customers as required to ensure client satisfaction and differentiate Seven Seas Water from competitors as a company that provides premium service.
  • Oversee the performance and status of all operations employees and contractors to ensure contract and labor code compliance and effective and efficient utilization. Execute and record performance evaluations, employee disciplinary actions and interact with employees as necessary to motivate and maintain good morale.  Work to maintain a positive work environment for all employees making Seven Seas Water a desirable place to be employed.
  • Monitor income statements (P&L) as a tool to drive efficiency in operations and generate reports that explain P&L performance.
  • Work with the engineering team to provide feedback from the operations of the plants to help them develop more efficient, reliable, and safe plant designs that are consistent with the customers’ & the company’s needs.
  • Interact with company financial departments (and others) as required to assist in smooth flow and execution of related transactions including, but not limited to, accounting, forecasting, hiring/firing, contractual matters, regulatory permitting, licensing, work permitting, leasing, subcontracting and various types of reporting.
  • Oversee the management of the field services group to ensure that technical service requirements of the plants are met, and the company environmental health and safety mandate is effectively and efficiently carried out.
  • Develop and implement as needed a preventive maintenance plan and ensure that work is carried out in a timely and efficient manner to protect and maintain the company’s assets and keep the facilities reliable, neat, clean, orderly and of a high standard of appearance that enables the business development team to use them as reference sites.
  • Ensure that all facilities have all needed spare parts on site to limit plant down time and safely maintain revenue generating objectives and contractual requirements. Maintain and update spare parts reports as required.


  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language
  • Skilled use of computers with Microsoft Office/Outlook software including Power Point, Publisher and other presentation and marketing-based software.
  • Must possess a USA passport or USA resident/work status and have no criminal history to obtain travel visas if required.
  • Must be able to communicate very effectively and respectfully with people of various cultures, background, and social status.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with high level company shareholders and executives, engineers, field service technicians, operators and non-skilled workers that struggle to communicate effectively due to cultural or language differences.
  • Complete and detailed knowledge of seawater and brackish water desalination systems and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Candidate must be able to frequently travel domestic and internationally as needed to visit the plants and review operations in each facility.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is desired.
  • Candidate should have water industry experience in an operations management role.
  • Experience in a multi-national organization is preferred, and experience overseeing operations in international facilities.
  • Experience in the desalination and/or wastewater treatment industries is required.
